Analysis of our Week 8 Three Games Against the Spread

Result: Buffalo Bills, 34 – Oakland Raiders, 14

Analysis: We were way off with our Raiders pick in this one. The Raiders offense gave the ball up three times, and the Bills took advantage of it. The over pick on the 46 points was correct, as the Bills offense had a big game taking advantage of their takeaways.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Detroit Lions

Spread: Pittsburgh Steelers -3 (MGM Mirage)

O/U: 46 points

Pick Against The Spread: Pittsburgh Steelers/Under

Result: Pittsburgh Steelers, 20 – Detroit Lions, 15

Analysis: Our analysis of this game was correct. We almost called the score correctly predicting 23-16, off by a total of 4 points. The Steelers defense gave up a lot of pass yards, but kept Detroit out of the end zone. Detroit played well, but couldn’t finish off drives with a TD. The under pick was correct as well with a lot of yardage, but both team’s defenses played well.

LA Chargers at New England Patriots

Spread: New England Patriots -7 (MGM Mirage)

O/U: 48 points

Pick Against The Spread: New England Patriots/Under

Analysis: Two more correct picks for this game. Both defenses played well, and the NE Patriots covered the 7 point spread. We were incorrect in thinking the Patriots offense would have a big game, picking the score to be 30-13. We did correctly predict the Chargers score though so kudos to The Tribe.
