Analysis: We have the Oakland Raiders winning this game straight up, so this spread is a great bet. The Raiders will win this game. They are underrated, but with Derek Carr back they’re ready to go on a streak after beating the Chiefs last week. The Bills traded away Marcell Dareus this week in a move that will definitely affect the team’s motivation moving forward and their 6th ranked run defense. Raiders move the ball well in this one, and their defense will do enough for the Raiders to win… or at least to lose by less than 3. Take the over on this one as well. Buffalo’s defense has given up 16.8 ppg while the Raiders defense has given up 22.3 ppg. Without Marcell Dareus in the middle of the D-line they will give up more than usual on the ground to a stout Raiders offense. Score Prediction: 30 – 23 Raiders for the win.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Detroit Lions

Analysis: The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Chiefs by 5 at Arrowhead and the Ravens by 17 in Baltimore over their last two road games. They covered the spread against the Bengals last week at home as well. The Lions rely on their passing game, and their rushing attack is 26th in the league with only 84 yards. The Pittsburgh Steelers have the #1 ranked pass defense in the league, and will shut down Detroit’s offense to help the Steelers win by more than 3 points. Take the under on the 46 points. Pittsburgh’s defense will allow less than 20 points, and with Detroit at home they will hold Pittsburgh’s offense in the low 20s this week. It will be close, but I take the under in a defensive battle between two teams usually known for their potent offenses. Score Prediction: 23 – 16 Steelers for the win.
LA Chargers at New England Patriots

Pick Against The Spread: New England Patriots/Under
Analysis: The Patriots will have a big win this week. Their defense has played much better the past two weeks which included a big win over the Falcons last week. The defense will carry their hot streak over from last week, and the offense will pull together for a big performance. Even with the injuries piling up, the Patriots win big at home against a bad Chargers team. Take the under on the spread. The Patriots will score a lot even against the Chargers 6th ranked pass defense, and the Chargers will be held in check by the Pats defense this week. The Chargers have strung together 3 straight wins but they were against the Giants (who lost multiple receivers throughout the game), the Raiders (without Derek Carr), and the Broncos who were on a cold streak offensively before that game even started, averaging only 12 ppg over the previous 3 weeks. Basically, the Chargers win streak is a fluke. Score Prediction: 30 – 13 Patriots for the win.
